Our first PropTech Meetup!

On February 4th we held our first PropTech Meetup, welcoming 80 people to our brand new office building and event space in Fitzrovia.

FinTech is a sector that is being talked about a lot in the press but there’s another sector that we’re championing – PropTech.

This a new and exciting sector that is using technology to transform every aspect of the property industry – from how buildings are designed, built and marketed to how we search for, buy and manage our homes. 2016 is PropTech’s time to shine and it’s our mission to give PropTech the attention it deserves.

The PropTech Meet-Ups will be a regular series of informal events for some of PropTech’s most exciting innovators. For our first meetup we had two speakers – Tushar Agarwal  from Hubble and Cem Savas from Plentific, who took to the stage to explain a little bit about what their companies do.

We have our very own beer tap in the office, which arrived just in time for the event, so LendInvest’s Joel and Leanne were on hand to pour pints to thirsty attendees! Of course with 80 guests there were a lot of hungry mouths to feed, so London-based pizza makers Home Slice delivered 40 wood-fired pizzas on the night.

It was great to see so many great PropTech movers and shakers in attendance and this year it’s our mission to make sure the finance industry wakes up to PropTech.
